"What a darling restaurant. The renovated mansion was absolutely gorgeous and the room we were in felt like we had a private party. Our server was fantastic and seemed very familiar with the menu and details concerning each dish. She made me want to order one of everything. I had the lamb chops but was able to sample the crispy skate and two kinds of pasta. All delicious. I can't wait to go back."

"We decided to try a new spot tonight and found Forepaughs, little did we know we'd be stumbling into some of the best food we've ever eaten! The atmosphere was beautiful and cozy, the type of place to wear a long dress or jeans and a sweater. The service was incredible- want to shout out Anastasia, our server, who was so fun, knowledgeable, and helpful as our server and made sure we were happy with our experience the whole way through! I ordered the Chicken, and it was hands down the best chicken I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, beautifully flavored, and the broccolini and potatos were the perfect pairing. My partner had the orechiettie, and honest to God it redefined pasta as we've ever known it. Every bite was savory and creamy and blew us both away. We each had a cocktail or two- paper airplane, penicillin, and the irvine park swizzle (I think) and all of which were amazing. And to end it all we had the chocolate cake, and what a way to end it. Creamy, rich, and the chocolate pearls added a great texture! We are beyond delighted to have stumbled upon such a great spot, and will 100% be returning for another great meal in our new future."

"Lovely place for a special meal. The dining room provided a semi private experience as it’s a smaller space and wasn’t full. Quiet, nice lighting, friendly staff who was very knowledgeable about the menu and the history of the building. Very glad we chose Forepaugh’s for celebrating! Our meals and dessert were so tasty! We will definitely return."

"Stopped in for a quick, casual birthday dinner for my husband tonight. Sat in the bar, had Armand as our server, per usual. Wonderful table scapes (tiny bud vases with daisy, carnations, ivy and fern). Tickeled by the amazing song playlist. Ordered the social hour burger (the BEST), Rose', Beer, charcuterie platter and the ribs. Service was calm, kind and friendly and high priority. Food was hot, perfectly seasoned and memorable and the surprise homemade funfetti birthday cake was a delight. Thank you all and especially Armand for a memorable little moment in our lives."

"Wonderful experience, staff, and food. We had the petite fillet surf and turf, wagyu burger, cauliflower and risotto. Everything was cooked amazingly and had perfect flavors. The a mock-cillin was tasty, had a spicy ginger beer zing. Definitely worth the price, such a special experience."

"Forepaugh's had outstanding service and delicious food. Bronson was attentive, personable and overall a fantastic waiter. The venue has old time classic vibes. It is very well maintained with great attention to detail. The canapés were delicious, one sausage one and a crab and pasta one. The ribeye and sea bass main courses were phenomenal. The ribeye was succulent and cooked to perfection. This is an outstanding establishment that I would recommend for any special occasion including but not limited to wedding dinners, family reunions, birthday parties and dates."

"Intimate seating and great food. There is an extensive wine list so peek at that ahead of time so you know your best pairing choices, though the staff is very knowledgeable. This is a dining experience and service is paced to fit that."
